Mack Penner (PhD, History) is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of History at the University of Calgary where he studies the history of energy transitions, climate politics, and fossil capitalism in Canada. He also works on intellectual and political histories of neoliberalism and conservatism, with particular focus on Alberta. His writing has appeared recently in the Canadian Historical Review, Jacobin, the Journal of History, and Perspectives. Mack is also an editor at Active History.
