Join Parkland Institute and the Centre for Free Expression for a panel discussion on free speech and democracy in Alberta.

Premier Kenney’s promised assault on critics of the Alberta oil and gas industry has a disturbing resonance with the actions of right-wing populist governments around the world. Are his announcements of a $30-million "war room," a $2.5-million public inquiry into foreign-funded environmental critics of Alberta oilsands development, and threats of possible defamation suits legitimate government initiatives or actions that chill free expression and undermine democracy?

Join a lively discussion among a panel of experts that will explore the Kenney government's initiatives and what they could mean.
