The Council of Canadians, Parkland Institute and Between the Lines Books present an evening with James Laxer, one of Canada’s best-known progressive political commentators. Is a US-centred age of globalization coming to an end? What comes next for the global economy, and what does this mean for Canada? Where will we fit in? Is an egalitarian economic future possible? What could an economics for humanity look like?
Join us to hear Laxer’s insightful and cogent remarks on moving forward in a new economic and political landscape. This event is in support of Laxer’s new book, Beyond the Bubble: Imagining a New Canadian Economy, which will be available for purchase.
This is the Calgary stop of the tour. Admission is free.
